On 21–22 September, the POCTEFA Know N Cheese project is organising an interregional visit to Iparralde.

Day 2 – 22 September
09:30 Technical workshop: Topic: Evolution of milk and cheese quality in the context of climate change
CONTENTS
- Farm presentation and testimonial on the concrete effects of climate change on milk and cheese quality
- How do high temperatures affect the bacteriological quality of raw milk?
- How can appropriate temperatures be maintained in dairies and ageing rooms?
- Unusual swelling of cheeses: what are the causes and what solutions are available?
12:00 End of workshop. Lunch
13:30 Return journey. Arrival in Durango, with intermediate stops at Repsol Oiartzun and Behobia/Irun, and an expected arrival in Durango between 17:30 and 18:00.
DETAILS
- The visits, technical workshops, translations from French into Spanish and travel expenses (according to the itinerary and timetable indicated in the programme), are funded by the POCTEFA KNOW N CHEESE
- Registration is mandatory before 4 September in order to be eligible for a place.
- In the event that the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The organisers reserve the right to make any necessary changes to the itinerary in order to adapt it to the number of participants registered for the interregional visits.
